Comes To A Close!

Promoting captive breeding, this show had been around for years and always maintained top notch quality.    Here you were able to purchase, as well as find information on, reptiles and amphibians,  supplies & equipment for reptiles and amphibians, gift and novelty items, clothing, books, and the list just went on and on!!!     There were never any venomous species sold at this show and refreshments were always available on premise.    Facilities were always top notch as well as nothing but quality vendors.    

Expenses, the economy, the fact there are so many similar shows and Mr. Knapp wanting to spend time chasing his grandchild(ren), no doubt all had a basis on his decision to end the EXPO.    Knowing Mr. Knapp as I do, it was not an easy thing for him to stop doing this show.   You see, he loved working with the vendors, visiting with the many different people he would meet and most of all it was all "right down his alley"!!!       As a staff member from the start, I too will miss working with the vendors, meeting the wonderful people, seeing all the different species and supplies, but most of all, I will miss the camaraderie that we had.   I looked forward to each show for all the above reasons as well as to get together with some VERY GOOD FRIENDS.   To me it was like a family reunion!    Oh I am sure I will meet up with most of them from time to time but most likely we will never all be there working (if you would even call it that) beside each other, picking, teasing, laughing and sharing our latest acquisitions.   

The amount of time, energy and money that Mr. Knapp put into his shows will never be known to any of us - well maybe Mrs. Knapp! - but I do know this:   He never would stop until every little detail was handled and he never accepted "that is good enough".    If you had ever attended one of his shows you know exactly what I am saying.      I am proud to have Mr. Knapp as a friend and am honored to have been apart of almost everyone of his Expo's.    Len:  JOB WELL DONE!   &   THANK YOU!!!
