Meet our Aggie:

Sam went to the Lycoming County SPCA to assist a friend in picking out a kitty.   We believe that you can't just "pick an animal out";  our belief is if you want a true friend, than the friend must also pick you in some way.   This was the case with Aggie!    As Sam's friends were looking at the cats, waiting for that "connection" to take place.    Sam was in visiting the imprisoned innocent.    Of course with no intention of taking anything back home with him!    well on the way home (with no cat by the way), Sam broke the conversation with the statement "What time do they close?"    and an about face was made and Aggie got her wish - ok, Sam did too.    She is the greatest friend!    Aggie is a mix of Australian Shepard and Australian cattle dog.

The Duke:

Oh yes, then there is Duke!   duke was a stray found wandering near the homestead for about a week straight.    Because he was so pretty (despite the matted fur) and showed signs of being a pure-bred, we felt we needed to get him back home to his owner.   So flyers were hung out, three area SPCA's were contacted, advertisements were placed on the radio ... and after two weeks - nothing!    Duke was given a good bill of health by our veterinarian and proceeded to finagle his way into Beth's heart.    After four weeks and no response, Duke had managed to make himself a member of the family.   In 2007, friends of ours who had lost their springer spaniel (due to old age) were thinking of getting another one.  Long story short, they too fell in love with Duke and so he has found a permanent home where he is loved.   He goes for two or three walks a day and has become part of there family.   He comes to visit us once in a while and it is a pleasure to see Duke and his new parents so happy!

She was on this earth for a short time but will be with us forever!
