Ferrets

There are many other web sites that can provide you with more information and
assistance with ferrets than we
ever could.     Rather than give you wrong information,
or not give you the data you were looking for, we suggest you visit the sites listed below.

Always remember:  You can't believe everything you read!!!    Speak with individuals
who keep ferrets, and as always with any animal,   learn as much as you can before
ever acquiring one!    We highly recommend adoption of animals when ever possible.

Here are our "kids"!    These two guys are so adorably loveable, it is no wonder that ferrets are becoming so popular as pets.    If you think a ferret is the pet for you ... you need to really start doing some research!    Once you have done that and still think these little carpet sharks are just what you need to add spice to your home contact the adoption center below.    Too bad more animals can not get processed through such a high quality and loving adoption center.      Thank You Tiny Prints!!   Our comments...

Well we have had our little "monsters for awhile now and just adore them!     They are as different as night and day.   They normally are out for several hours every day.     They pretty much so have the supervised run of the house.    Sometimes it is as much fun watching them "get into things" as it is a pain trying to keep them out!

Bandit (aka: "Bad Boy") is into everything and full of mischief.   When you call him, he looks at you and runs!    He has learned how to open the dog treat bin and found some great places to stash all his treasures!   He is the clown and the instigator of the two.   He does not care to mess with Aggie and when she noses him a tad to much (in his opinion) he will lunge at her!    He doesn't bite her just jumps and hits her with his front feet.   Aggie normally will miss the "attack" but will let him alone ... for a while!   Bandit tends to be less reliable to use the litter box as well.   I told you he was a "bad boy"!    Gotta love those bad boys!

Nibbles has adopted the name of "Nibs", is the sweet heart.    He usually will be right at your feet investigating everything you do.    He will come out of where ever he is (unless he fell asleep!) when you call him.   He isn't as investigative as bandit but does check everything out.   He loves to cuttle and a good relationship with Aggie.    Aggie will lick and nuzzle Nibs and he just ignores her.    They often will be seen eating and drinking together.   Nibs is content to just play with a plastic grocery bag for a half hour or so and then go check something else out only to return and play some more with the plastic bag!    He had a ball for about twenty minuets one day with a garbage bag that had some aluminum cans for our Boy Scout Troop in them!    Nibs will also be scooting around and just decide to take a break and lay down where ever he stops!    It is so funny!   He will scoot across the floor and then just lie down and rest for a few minutes and get up and go again!     Nibs has finally started to fill out and gain a little weight.   In fact he maybe heavier than Bandit now.    Will find out on their next check up.

So if you are interested in obtaining a ferret as a pet, go to an adoption agency.   Learn all you can about them.    Be prepared to learn they may not be exactly the type of pet you are looking for.   If you do all this and decide to go ahead and adopt a ferret ... be fore warned ... be ready to fall in love!
