This page is of my daughter Jessie as she graduates from Bloomsburg University on May 7th, 2005.     I am  so proud of this young lady!     Two words best describe Jessie:  " HEART";   and    "FOCUS".

Jessie has a heart of gold.    She is one of the most giving individuals you would ever meet.   In high school she ran track.   Toward the end of the season she had already qualified to be able to participate at districts, so she voluntarily ask the coach if she could give up a spot in one of her races so that a team mate could get one more chance of qualifying as well.    I don't recall if Jessie's team mate qualified that day or not, but I will never forget the "typical" gesture that my daughter put forth.   She was on a basket ball team and when at half-time the girls were down points on the scoreboard and the team began to argue in the locker room;  Jessie stepped up and gave a speech and pulled them all together.    Her coach who, unbeknown to her was standing around the corner had little more to say!    She is a team person as well with a heart of gold.  It is this heart of gold that makes Jessie such a wonderful person to have in any ones life!   As she prepares for a June 2005 wedding, she will be marrying a young man who also has a heart of gold.   Her future will be what ever she sets her heart on; and all that she sets her heart on will be better because of it.   I can imagine nothing but good for her and her fiancé' as they combine their two hearts of gold in June.

Jessie is also focused.    Her graduation from Bloomsburg University is a prime example of that undivided focusing.    She graduated on May 7th, 2005 with a double major and a minor carrying a 4.0GPA.    This is phenomenal to me in itself but she did so while working (sometimes two jobs), preparing for her wedding, commuting back and forth, moving, and not to mention all the family dilemma's over the last four years.    She volunteered for several things through the college and outside as well.   She has the uncanning ability to set her sights on a goal and focus on that goal and achieve that goal.    If anyone could see the look of determination on her face as she was running against tough competition on the track, they would understand what I mean.    She would set her sights on the finish line and reach deep inside her to find what ever she had; what ever it took; to get to that finish line.    She addresses every goal she sets with this type of determination and dedication.

A heart of gold and undaunting focus - that is my daughter Jessie.    As she now prepares for her wedding, I think to my self:  " If I can make her half as proud of me as I am of her, I will die a happy man"!     Jessie congratulations on your LATEST achievement!!    You have worked so hard, for so long and done so well, while still giving of yourself;  I am so proud of you!    I love you !!   Dad.
